According to Fort Myers Fire Department, crews responded about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to Evans and Winkler avenues where they talked to the SUV driver and began plans to extricate the person, a Facebook post shows.

Iona McGregor and South Trail Fire districts assisted the departments Ladder 16 and Battalion 10 crews in the extrication, the post reported.
The crash closed the road for more than two hours during the morning commute.
